Tuk Tuk
I have $1,526.64! Can I just say that I have a lot of friends who are also having to raise support for their internships this summer, and they are not even half way there in their support raising. I cannot believe the kind of support and encouragment I have been recieving, and at such a quick turn-around! So thank you! But as I said in my letter, I also want to try to raise enough money to buy the organization Daughters a gift that they really need. My mom asked the CEO what their dream supply would be and she said they could REALLY use a Tuk Tuk, which is a motorbike. Tuk Tuks are one of the main forms of transportation, and Daughters always has to use taxi tuk tuks, and it would be so much more convenient an probably cheaper if they just had their own. They cost about $2,000, and Daughters would not be able to afford one ANY time soon. This would be a wonderful gift because even if I turn out to be a bafoon on the mission field and I burn the place down, Daughters will at least have a motorbike and I will have left a lasting positive impact! So I'm just updating you on where I am in my funds and the gift we will be trying to provide them with. All we need is $1,973.36! Easy peesey, lemon squeezy! :) You guys are great.

First and foremost... Katie, do mom a favor and try helping out by making jewlery, sewing items, working at the cafe, or doing some counseling and woship ministry...let's stay out of the kitchen, shall we? ;D
ReplyDeleteSecondly... ummm...I borrowed $900 to buy your plane tickets from your tuition fund for your senior year... so replacing that would be nice, too, so we don't have to borrow more to get you graduated. But I know that God will provide all our needs. He always does...
Finaly, can I say that I love my family and friends? We are so incredibally fortunate by your love and support, and I ask God to honor, bless and protect each and every one of you who donated so Katie can do God's work. I am at a loss of words (a feat in itself) by your loyalty and generocity and I pray opportunity comes for me to bless you right back. May the Lord keep you in his tender mercies all the days of your life. Happy Easter... BE BLESSED!
